Systems Engineer- Integration

Summary of Role: The Systems Engineering & Integration for the National Systems for Geospatial-Intelligence program delivers full life-cycle systems integration and engineering services to the missions of its customer. The Resiliency project has a need for an experienced systems integrator to lead the definition of future Resiliency initiatives and to manage related project efforts.
Job Description:  In this role, you will:  conduct engineering assessments on Resiliency technologies (current and future), and ensure the project captures innovative trade-craft, lessons learned, and best practices; work closely with Resiliency government lead and Product owners to provide engineering analysis of the features backlog and adjust development focus as required to meet mission objectives; perform technical planning to engineer an integrated Resiliency road map across other Modernization Initiatives.

You will also engage with internal and external stakeholders to develop and execute time-phased epics and effectivities for migrating capabilities into the operational baseline.

Qualifications:
• Active TS/SCI Clearance
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / CS / Math / Science / or related technical experience or equivalent experience
• 16+ years of systems engineering and integration and/or systems development experience

Mission Requirements Engineer

Summary of Role: In this role, you will provide support to the National Geospatial Intelligence Agency (NGA) National Security GEOINT Expeditionary Architecture (TAW) activities.  Support activities include conducting, coordinating and collaborating with Coalition, USG civilian and military users of GEOINT products and services.  Specific focus includes strategic communication and message development of TAW activities and initiatives to support user engagement activities.
Job Description:  Per customer direction, you will  implement customer vision to execute mission of NEA organization; maintain professional relationships and networks with DOD, NSG, ASG customers; maintain awareness of customer capabilities, gaps and shortfalls; advocate the requirements process and maintain awareness of customers’ requirements process to include JCIDS and supporting services processes.  You will also keep senior government and SEIN leadership apprised of activities and status as well as support and maintain relationships with COCOM personnel, advocating on behalf of COCOM issues and needs as required

Office of Strategic Operations Enterprise Integration Engineer

Summary of Role: The ideal candidate for this position should have strong data engineering background and the ability to interpret metrics and translate these metrics into requirements.  Additionally, a strong understanding of NGA Program Build process is a plus.  The ability to strategically plan and execute the director’s initiative, mission, and vision for the out years is a must.
Job Description:  In this role, you will plan and perform full SE&I life cycle technical design, CONOPS development, implementation planning, integration, cost, schedule, technical performance, opportunity/risk, and supportability/mission effectiveness analyses spanning all levels of NSG/ASG enterprise.   You will also ensure logical and systematic conversion of mission needs, joint topical or product requirements into total systems solutions through enterprise transition to operations, acknowledging cost, schedule, and technical constraints as well as manage GEOINT mission-driven capability needs across NSG/ASG, driving requirements closure, performing functional and timeline analysis, detailed trade studies, AoAs, mission needs allocation & interfaces definition translating customer requirements into capability and service specs.

Senior Systems Engineer/Site Director

Summary of Role: As part of an exciting and inspired team, we are seeking a self-motivated Senior Systems Engineer / Site Director who will be responsible for directing a team of dedicated engineers across a wide range of space projects based at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center. In addition to your leadership responsibilities, you’ll be a contributing engineer in end-to-end implementation of significant scientific programs that will be used in the exploration of our solar system.
Job Description: You’ll administratively report to the Vice President for Civil Programs and programmatically to the program systems engineer. Beyond day-to-day technical support, you look after our team in place and manage the development of customer relationships as well as the development of business opportunities in and around NASA Goddard.

Your efforts will include:

  • Being a member of the engineering team of a flight or ground systems engineering project performing systems engineering, integration, and/or test at or for NASA or NOAA.
  • Tasks focused on performing classical systems engineering functions, such as requirements development, verification & validation, test planning, systems engineering analyses, risk assessments, operations planning, as well as other technical disciplines
  • Interacting with other teams to develop and apply systems engineering policies, practices, requirements, plans and schedules and work will be done across a spectrum of disciplines on tasks with government and non-government agencies.
  • Managing, directing, and mentoring company staff in the execution of work assignments for federal government contracts. Assist with work leveling and sharing across different projects and client needs.
  • Assisting with strategic relationships for on-going satisfaction and with customers and business partners
  • Participate in pursuing new business activities with existing customers/partners and new clients that lead to new project opportunities for engineering services and strengthen our positions at NASA and/or NOAA.
  • Supporting occasional technical proposals and work with our internal team and/or teaming partners on proposal generation.
  • Ensuring the implementation and follow-up strategic goals in order to reach company objectives. Communicating up/down with the company leadership team and technical staff under your direction

One Year Deliverable: Participation in a new NASA/NOAA space program.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related technical discipline; Master’s or PhD degree in similar disciplines preferred.
• Wide-ranging experience and knowledge in one or more of the following areas: systems engineering, aerospace engineering, project systems engineering, or electrical engineering.
• Demonstrated experience supporting or leading engineers in the development, test, and/or operation of a complex spacecraft, flight system, project system or instrument payload.

Senior Systems Engineer

Summary of Role: Seeking an innovative and energetic, Senior Systems Engineer to work with startup organization in developing new lines of business/ new markets with new commercial and government customers.
Job Description:  Senior Systems Engineer role requires ability to distill requirements (back out requirements) from existing product line, define (back out) interfaces, and present capability in manner that will be understood by both commercial and government target customers.  Some eventual support of proposal work related to this initial task.
Qualifications:
•  BS / MS/ PhD Aero or controls or any engineering discipline – hands on System Engineering experience is key
•  Strong System Engineer with cross sector experience, proposal experience, commercial sector programs experience
•  Government programs experience as Systems Engineer – ideally front end/requirements
•  System requirements definition experience; small (ish) satellites experience – LEO (low earth orbit) systems

Product Assurance/Quality Engineer

Summary of Role: Seeking a talented ‘hands on” Product Assurance / Quality Engineer to support various aerospace satellite programs.  Must have experience in the Space Industry.
Job Description:  This is an ‘as needed’ position; may be called upon to perform a 4 to 8 hour day’s work once or twice a month depending on need from customer.  Expected to be flexible with availability with 5 to 7-day notice.  Majority of work entails visiting suppliers’ facility, typically in California, to inspect hardware and appropriate production paperwork
Qualifications:
• Experience performing hardware inspections of high reliability satellite components
• Experience with sophisticated electromechanical devices, microwave and RF components a plus
• Knowledge addressing non- conformances, and corrective actions
• Understanding of pre-ship reviews
• Emphasis on hands-on inspection of electrical and mechanical components, including PCB/PWBs, TWTs, solar array drives, and propulsion components

Systems Engineer

Summary of Role: Seeking talented Systems Engineer to work on complex space instrument – role offers a great opportunity to learn about multi-discipline engineering.
Job Description: Provide systems engineering support as part of the systems engineering team for a complex instrument; responsible for the coordination and monitoring of the evolution of system and subsystem level requirements, the evolution of interfaces between subsystems, the early cross-subsystem deliverables and contributing to the detailed planning of system and subsystem verification.   You will also contribute to the detailed planning of system integration and commissioning.
Development is already under way on the project and many processes, procedures, and tools are in place already to get underway quickly.
Qualifications:

Mechanical Engineer

Summary of Role: Individual will be working with a small team of engineers and technicians designing and producing solutions solving critical national security problems in a very fast paced environment.
Job Description: Successful applicant will have excellent theoretical and practical knowledge of engineering design. The applicant will work with other experienced engineers to take innovative engineering solutions from conceptualization through prototype development. The applicant will be involved in all aspects of product development including conceptualization, design, analysis, supplier development, and prototype production and testing in a cross-functional team environment. Responsibilities will include product design, engineering analysis, production drawings, and fabrication of prototype hardware.
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 2 – 4 years of technical experience in the field of Mechanical Engineering
• Candidate must possess an active TS/SCI security clearance
• Experience with a solid modeling CAD program, preferably Solidworks
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint)
