Description: Stellar Solutions is involved in the development of new Earth science mission that will extend our nation’s lead in measuring key greenhouse gases and vegetation health from space to advance our understanding of Earth’s natural exchanges of carbon between the land, atmosphere, and ocean. As part of this new program, we are seeking a mechanical engineer to help lead the design of an instrument that will be flown as a hosted payload aboard a commercial communications satellite to make observations over the Americas from an orbit of approximately 22,000 miles (35,400 kilometers) above the equator.
• Knowledge of materials and the mechanical and thermal issues associated with their selection
• Experience leading a technical team in design or delivery of flight hardware
• Experience in generating models and detailed drawings using CREO is required.
• Experience with generating Statements of Work, Specifications, and Assembly instructions
• Experience with document and configuration management, procurement of flight and non-flight hardware, mechanical ground support equipment development, and development of manufacturing work instructions
• Experience with portions of the flight hardware development lifecycle including support of major program reviews, development and management of interfaces, and periodic customer reviews

Software Test & Verification Engineer
Location: Northern CA
Description: Steller Solutions is supporting the development of NASA’s next generation deep space human exploration system called the Orion Program. As part of this effort we’re expanding our technical team and seeking a senior software engineer to help integrate, test, and verify the crew module flight software. He/she will be responsible for developing test procedures, scripts and test tools for flight software verification, including execution of integration tests to validate hardware to software interfaces, software to software interfaces, and functionality.
Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering, Computer Science or other science plus 5+ yrs experience. The job responsibilities include analyzing the hardware, software, and system requirements and implementation; developing and testing code utilizing Model Based Design approaches; establishing development and test tools; identifying and resolving anomalies during test on various software- and system-level platforms; identifying and implementing required software modifications and participating in technical reviews/audits of software products. The candidate will primarily provide hands-on development of verification success criteria and performing software engineering in all phases of the software lifecycle following the program Software Development Plan (SDP) to include requirements analysis, object oriented analysis & design, code & unit test, integration, and support to formal test / delivery for Orion Crew Module Spacecraft flight software and spacecraft testing. The candidate will be required to work with flight software development peers, subject matter experts, database developers, and test engineers.
Configuration Manager / Data Manager
Location: Washington DC, working remotely from Stellar office/home possible
Description: Steller Solutions is supporting the acquisition and development of NASA’s next generation of human exploration systems that will allows us to re-explore the moon as a stepping stone to deep space
destinations, including Mars. As part of this exciting effort major new programs are being stood up and will require an attentive configuration/data manager who can effectively manage, control, and distribute project
information. Your responsibilities will typically include:
•Capturing, maintaining, processing, and controlling program and engineering documentation for configuration and change control
• Data management and administration, including use of information technology (SharePoint) and data protection
• Eliciting and capturing stakeholder needs for the data system model
• Arranging and facilitating stakeholders meetings
• Preparing and delivering/communicating Configuration and Data Management (CDM) reports for meetings and reviews
Qualifications: BS degree desired, but not mandatory. Relevant experience (5+) could suffice. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of CDM experience, preferably with large NASA or Defense programs. He/she will be a key member of the team defining, implementing, and refining data management models (schema) for various space projects. Should have a working knowledge of SharePoint or similar for managing project artifacts.
Office of Space Launch (OSL) Acquisition Support Specialist

Duties include fast-paced support for multiple contract activities related to current and future mission planning and execution. Systems Engineer (ESAT)

Description: This Systems Engineer (SE) will lead External Site Architecture Transition (ESAT) Team technical project/tasks, and must have excellent SE&I, project engineering, and written and verbal communication skills, and be adept at working in a highly dynamic environment, composed of multiple initiatives, associated phased developments, and programmatic dependencies.
Qualifications: • Able to work with customer to resolve technical/programmatic issues & make directed changes • Bachelor’s degree in CS / Math / Science / Engineering / related technical field • Minimum of 15+ years’ experience in related field, with 10+ years recent GEOINT experience • Experience using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to solve complex problems • Self-starter and able to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities • Demonstrated technical task leadership/project engineering experience/SME • Ability to work independently and within a team environment • Strong interpersonal, problem solving, organizational and multi-tasking skills • Excellent written/verbal communications, technical/non-technical presentation skills • TS/SCI Clearance (with a current SSBI favorably adjudicated within the last 5 years)
Systems Engineer (ACC)

Description: Provide SE&I functional experience leading Mission Capability Innovation. Enable Mission-driven solutions using agile implementation approach to integrate collaborative Multi-INT platform services capabilities, tools and tradecraft initiatives, integrated product teams (IPT) solution providers, and integrated mission capability package releases.

Description:Lead efforts to coordinate enterprise level integration efforts with interdependent systems to deliver enterprise capabilities. Coordinate with and document tasking, workflow and exploitation and/or dissemination segment’s software/hardware design, implementation and test schedule to ensure alignment with agreed to enterprise implementation, integration, verification and validation and transition plans and schedules. Power Systems Advisor (Part-time)

Description: Seeking experienced Satellite Power Systems Engineer to join our elite team of renowned Stellar Advisors, supporting a range of customers and programs on a part time basis. Roles may include independent review of Power System aspects of Satellite architecture, support of anomaly investigation, participation in System and subsystem level design reviews, and various types of expert assessments related to satellite power systems.
